Coming up on Twitturly…

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Well, though I’ve been working on Twitturly for quite some time now, we decided just recently to make it official. I’ll be handling the user experience and interface for Twitturly from here on out, so chances are you’ll be hearing from me quite a bit. But don’t worry, I’m a pretty decent guy. And I usually come with good news.

To start off, I wanted to let you in on some of the stuff we’ve been brewin’ up.

Yes, it\'s finally happening.

First: Twitturly Search. It’s finally happening! We’ve heard you, and you’ll soon have the ability to search Twitturly for Twitter users, domains, and URLs. We’ve been working hard on the new search feature, and we’re excited to give you the chance to play with it and tell us what we did wrong :)

Second: Enhanced User Profiles. So, some of you may be aware of Twitturly user profiles, which basically allow you to see all the URLs you or any other Twitterer has tweeted, along with how many other people tweeted the same URL. Well, we’re kickin’ it up a notch (BAM!) in this next release.

Yes, it\'s finally happening.

We’re going to make the current profile functionality a bit more usable by adding the ability to sort tweets by date posted or popularity, more info and interaction with the tweet, and a few other surprises for your enjoyment. We’re enhancing what you can do from the profile, most notably stats for the peeps you follow, as well as making the functionality much more apparent (admittedly, right now it’s sort of impossible to find unless you know about it). We hope you love it.

As always, if there’s something you think is missing or something you think could be better (or even if there’s something you love), let me know @tonyfonseca.

Well folks, we hope you’ll enjoy what we’ve been working on. Aside from what I’ve mentioned above, you’ll have a few other personalized surprises that I can’t mention quite yet. :) You should have the chance to play with the new Twitturly within the next couple weeks…

Happy Tweeting,
@tonyfonseca
